The VEBA (Voluntary Employees’ Beneficiary Association) Trust was established by the Darien Police Association to help support retired officers with their medical expenses. Since officers hired after 2007 are no longer provided medical insurance through the Town, the VEBA Trust plays a vital role in easing the financial burden of healthcare in retirement.
